Reader and are working on the free items. Thanks for the heads-up. I love my son v tech reader he has learned how to read on the v tech and he is only 5 years old so i think these free books are great he has learned so much on it and i will keep getting him these books for the v tech cause it is a wanderful thing they have come up with.
Last night I stayed up latetrying to download the books to g. Where do I get the SD card? What kind do I purchase for the vtech reader. As you said the 6 free coins purchase the 6 free books. Hope you can help me understand this. Hello, where does the sd card go on the v reader? I installed, I downloaded, I even purchased the sd card, but for the life of me i cant find out how to install the memory card. Please help! It will only allow you to store the books you buy and get for free from the website.
Thank you for the information on the free downloads, very easy to do. But, does anyone know where does the SD card goes in the vreader? I looked all over the thing but was unable to find where it goes into! SD card reader goes in where the batteries go in. Just bought my 4 year old the V. What a joke! You think that if they offer this product for ages that us adults could understand? Nothing is free! They are all at a cost! So, tell me please.. Since V.
Tech simply do NOT know how to tell us the truth, I guess that we have to depend on each othe for instructions on their products! Thanks V. For Nothing!
My son is four and he can use the VReader just fine. Are you trying the canadian site or the US one? I admit the postal code issue can be frustrating. In response to questions: Upon downloading the initial learning lodge software to your computer, make sure you restart your computer. Although not always prompted to do so, my vreader device would not recognize SD card or apply vCoins to account till I did this twice.
Try adding a title to your cart and then going to checkout. Nothing will be charged to your account till you confirm and if you haven;t entered credit card info you have no need to worry. Your eCoins should kick-in at checkout. Finally, yes vTech has a long way to go on their documentation and instructional design.
Great product, decent though limited content. No documentation on certificates which my son keeps asking about. Hope this helps, I need to get back to watching Fox news. If people do not watch enough of it they tend to become unproductive, elitest snobs. Ken is a turd and vDad is right on target. Ken is one of those guys that flips people off from his car while driving away as fast as possible. Thanks for the VReader information vDad, especially restarting the computer as to aknowledge the SD card.
When you open the web-app Learning lodge it notifies you of an update. After updating I once again had to reboot in order to have it recognize SD Card. I remembered that the reason I had to do it twice the first time original post is that I had not turned vReader off when rebooting. It should not matter but it worked.
This time, after update, turned off reader and single PC reboot did the trick. Also, Certificates now available as icon on Learning lodge interface. That would be cool. Final thought. All of the sudden after a drive my son told me the backpack was empty. Turns out the SD card had slid out of slot a little from vReader getting bumped or whatever. So if you all of the sudden have problems just open battery hatch and re-seat SD card in slot.
Totally uncalled for. Hey, I have a question. I learned the V reader needed an SD card, so I put the one from my camera into it. Reader and it's definitely at the top of my list for tools that kids are better for having.
My 3 year old daughter is starting to show word recognition and I know that the V. Reader is, in part, to thank for that. When my 6 year old son has a choice in what video game system he gets to play, he generally reaches for the V. It's just that much fun! So, get your V.
