Travel themed bridal shower game


















One of my bridesmaids, Demi, was in charge of this task and she did a phenomenal job! The third game was given to my bridesmaids, Courtney and Erica, to write down all of my reactions to gifts and read it back at the end as a script of what I would say on my wedding night.

That was hilarious. Everyone got a kick out of this! I highly suggest this… and it works even better if the bride is unaware of this part. After gifts and photos, a few people had to leave for other obligations.

Brighton and my dad showed up to help clean up, but since the party was still going strong they just joined us. My sister suggested the traditional toilet paper wedding dress game, but with a twist! My mom got to dress up Brighton, and Michele my future mother-in-law got to dress me up. The bridesmaids also helped with both of us.

It was a riot. Everyone was taking photos and laughing and by the end, we looked like mummy bride and groom. After a majority of the party left and the clean up was taken care of, my closest friends and I walked the beach at sunset. It was nice to be back with them enjoying our old stomping grounds. But hey! We are less than days out—96 to be exact. Your friends are wonderful— special thanks to Courtney, Erica, and Demi for their help. Give a recipe shower and let the guests play this one. How to Play: For this one, have the bride wear an apron with items pinned to it. The guest of honor will be wearing it when the shower starts and once everyone has arrived, have them leave the room. Next, hand out the games and let the guest see if they can remember what was pinned to the apron. Works Best For: Another idea for a kitchen or recipe shower is this game about common kitchen items.

How to Play: Ask the bride to think of kitchen items that spell out a certain word. Simply have the first letter of a few kitchen items on the sheet, then have the guests guess what item the bride picked. Or you can even do the entire alphabet. Works Best For: Guess how many corks was created with the wine lover in mind. Perfect for a vineyard or wine tasting shower.

How to Play: Put your corks in something pretty and have the guests guess how many are in there. Works Best For: Another perfect game for a wine tasting shower is this red or white game. How to Play: Test the wine knowledge of your guests by having them categorize them by white or red. Answers are also included on this one.
