There are currently no positions at SRP that require security clearance. However, SRP values the technical training received and will consider all qualifications in evaluating candidate readiness for positions at SRP. SRP sponsors two registered apprenticeship programs. Candidates for the Joint Apprenticeship Corporate Committee program must be current SRP employees to qualify for one of their apprenticeships. All trades require educational prerequisites, and interested candidates should contact the Apprenticeship Office for more information.
The advertisement period lasts from mid-January to the end of February each year. During that time, the Apprenticeship Team conducts information meetings and packet review clinics. The application period opens for 10 days in the beginning of March, and the behavioral interviews start the first week of April. Trade orientations take place the second week of April. These are followed by technical interviews and final selections. Indenture is on the first pay period in May.

The length of an apprenticeship program ranges depending on the trade from two to five years. At completion of the program, an apprentice becomes a journeyman.
