Shadows and transperencies are broken. Anyway to making pdf file with high res outline flatner presets with acrobat 6 or later? Please give an idea. Rajesh, no, Acrobat 6 file format does not flatten files. Transparency is saved, and you then control the flattening at print time from Acrobat. Your comment has nothing to do with templates, though. Perhaps do a search on our site for other flattener or transparency posts?
I created a template using InDesign, I am wondering if anyone here know if you can edit a template and automatically update all the files that uses that template in the future. Any ideas? Does anyone know of any other free templates for InDesign?
I tried the one mentioned above — stocklayouts. I need to edit the template for my use. The lines highlight but when I try to change them a padlock shows. As we upgrade straight from the Adobe site we do not have the older disks to pull the templates folder from previous versions.

Emil: The New from template feature no longer in CS5 is not required to open a template you have saved on your disk. How can I get copies of the templates? Then you can go ahead and delete the old version of InDesign. Any and all help with where to find free templates is appreciated as I was expecting to rely heavily on those to get me started. I am still working with CS4, and very grateful that this version has the templates.

Thanks so much for this tip. I found my CS2 discs, but realized CS4 has the templates installed too. This post has really been helpful, even years later! I have been able to view them on Bridge but when i try to open the template files, it just appears as a badly pixelated PDF.
